Erika Swith has devoted her life to helping people live their best lives, physically, mentally, and spiritually. I have known her for a couple of years now and am so happy she opened up her shop Somatre in Sisters. Her wealth of knowledge needs a storefront that size to house four amazing foot spas, shelves for books, tinctures, essential oils and herbs and vitamins. As someone who has pursued knowledge about the health field for 50 years (working in a vitamin store for some of that time), I can say that Somatre offers a variety of venues in healing the whole person. It takes a person with a profound generosity of spirit to care about helping a community have access to healing solutions that I know Erika to have. Her passion to help people is clear in her taking a risk to open a new store in today’s economic climate. Somatre is a beautiful place and you feel a relaxing calm as soon as you walk in, not only because the air has been purified and the decor is top notch, but because Erika herself greets you with such a genuine smile and care, listening carefully and then humbly offering healing suggestions. My husband and I made a date to have a foot bath, side by side, and then go to lunch. If you’ve never had a foot bath experience, then you should give it a try! Go with a friend! It is amazing how much your feet and legs feel invigorated after just 45 minutes of releasing toxins. Afterwards, for a week, I felt like I was walking on a cloud!
